On November 18th, and 19th, Choral Chameleon will present "Dia de Los Muertos," an audience-participatory concert experience inspired by the profound Mexican traditional festival. This celebration, a unique blend of indigenous and religious traditions, commemorates those who have gone before us and invites them to rejoin the living in spirit. Join the procession and place meaningful objects on our Ofrenda (altar) adorned in candles and marigolds, and hear the music of Mexican and South American composers as well as perspectives on the dead, both whimsical and provocative, from other parts of the world. The program includes choral music by Manuel de Sumaya, Jeffrey Parola, Elizabeth Alexander, Astor Piazzolla, and others.
